Important Information:

·        Our end of the year party will be May 15 at 12:30 in our classroom.  Please send in $5.00 for our room mother to purchase party supplies.

·        Our Award’s day will be May 15th at 1:15 PM in the gym.

·        If your child will be leaving after the awards ceremony, you will need to sign them out in the classroom.

Language Skill:

Your child should be able to use a reflexive pronoun correctly in a sentence.  Reflexive pronouns are:  himself, herself, itself, myself, themselves, ourselves, and yourself.

 

Your child should be able to use an irregular verb correctly in a sentence.

An imperative sentence is a command.  It starts with a capital letter and ends with a period.

This week we will be reading a story called “Iris and Walter.”  It is about a little girl named Iris who moves to the country.  It is a good story about being in a new place and making new friends-perfect for the beginning of a new school year!

Language Skill: 
Complete Sentences are groups of words that tell a complete idea.  The words are in an order to make sense.  A sentence begins with a capital letter and ends with a punctuation mark (. ! ?).

Your child will need to read the timed one-minute reading passage.
Check your child’s folder for math homework.
